TEXTILE TECHNOLOGIES

TEXTILE TECHNOLOGIES
MFC Progetti thanks to his great experience in solvent recovery has had the opportunities to cooperate with many companies operating in textile field.
In particular the experience relevant the recovery of DMF and DMAC has introduced MFC Progetti to cooperate in the following technologies:
• Acrylic Fibres Plant
• Polyurethane Elastic Yarn Plant (Spandex Elastane Fibers)
• Spandex Scraps Recycling Plant
• Synthetic Leather Plant
• Acrylic Fibres Plant
MFC Progetti can also supply directly or through his related Companies complete plant for Acrylic Fibre Plant starting from acrylonitrile and co-polymers polymerization, spinning, drying, solvent recovery, etc.
The process available can foreseen the continuous polymerization DMF and wet spinning or batch polymerization in DMF or DMAC and drying spinning.
• Spandex Elastane Fibers
MFC Progetti can also supply directly or through his related Companies the Wet Spinning Process for Spandex or Elastane fibers , that can be used to produce fibers in deniers (or yarn sizes) from 10 to 2240 or higher.
In general, if the same polymer formulation is used, substantially the same product can be produced by either dry or wet spinning.
The plant would produce its own spandex polymer in solution from the following raw materials: polyester or polyether glycol, methylene-bis-4-phenylisocyanate (MDI), dimethylformamide (DMF) or dimethylacetamide (DMAc), and other minor components such as modifiers, pigments and antioxidants. Both batch and continuous polymer production technology is available depending upon the desired plant scale.
• Additionally, the plant would be capable of recovering and recycling the DMF or DMAC used as solvent for the polymer in a specially designed distillation facility
Spandex Scraps Recycling Plant
consists in the installation of a recovery plant (wet-spinning technology) for the scraps resulted in elastomeric (Spandex) fibres production. The plant includes the following main sections:
a) Polymer solution preparation: solvent storage & treatment, fibres scraps dissolution and stabilisation
b) Wet spinning: preparation of spinning solutions and lubricant, spinning, winding and packing
The fibre scraps resulted from the Spandex production can be recovered and spun as medium-heavy deniers in the range 156 - 2500 dtex (i.e. 140 – 2300 den).
• Synthetic Leather Plant
MFC Progetti is in the position directly or through his related Companies to offer a complete Synthetic Plant based on the wet coagulation process on PU resin and/or also on spreading (or coating line) on PU/PVC resin.
